PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modular calibrating weight of a type adapted to be usable to weight measuring instruments of various structures, particularly, to various weight types of a design group of weights. SOLUTION: The calibrating weight 100 for weight measuring instrument comprises a calibrating weight base part module 101 including at least one mounting area 105. The calibrating weight 10 comprises at least one positioning means 104 and at least transmitting element 105. The mounting area 106 enables construction of an auxiliary weight 102 on the calibrating weight base part module 101, the positioning means 104 functions to position the calibrating weight 100 to a calibrating weight arm 20, and the transmitting element 105 plays the role of a place to which a transmission mechanism lever 31 applies its force to perform transmission. PURPOSE:To greatly save labor in a loading and unloading work. CONSTITUTION:A load applying device 7 for testing an elevator cage 2 is composed of a chain-like member, and is introduced into the cage 2 which is stopped at a height lower than a hall floor 9 Meanwhile it is carried away from the cage 2 which is stopped at a height higher than the hall floor 9. Accordingly, since the device 7 is composed of a chain-like member, it is automatically and successively moved by its dead weight from a higher position to a lower position.

PURPOSE:To provide an actual load applying device for testing an elevator cage, which can greatly reduce the burden of a loading and unloading work. CONSTITUTION:An actual load applying device 7 for testing an elevator car 2 is composed of chain-like members which are connected together by a specified length, and a disconnectable coupling is provided at every specified weight in at least a part of the chain-like member. With use of a carrier vehicle 8, the device 7 is introduced ont the floor 4 of the car 2 under its dead weight, and the chain-like members are disconnected at one of the couplings from each other so as to obtain a specified weight for testing.

PURPOSE:To simply and quickly execute load/load release operations of a weight for calibration by a person's help by raising a sample pan and the weight for calibration as one body so that they can be installed in a first or a second use state. CONSTITUTION:The subject balance is provided with a load detecting mechanism 2 which is provided on the inside of a balance housing 1, and in which sensitive members 2a... 2a protrude to the outside through holes 1a... 1a formed on the upper face of the housing 1, a sample pan 3 and a weight for calibration 4. In a first use sate, the pan 3 is placed on the members 2a... 2a and also, in a space formed between the pan 3 and the upper face of the housing 1, the weight 4 is provided in a state of non-contact with the members 2a... 2a and the pan 3. Also, in a second use state, this balance is constituted so that one of the pan 3 and the weight 4 is supported by the members 2a... 2a in a state of holding the other. Moreover, it is constituted so that the pan 3 and the weight 4 can be installed in the first or the second use state by raising them as one body by a person's help. In such a way, load/load release operations of a built-in calibration weight can be executed without providing an adding/dividing mechanism.
