A zoned heater is arranged spaced from the upstream end and comprises N zones, where N is an integer greater than one, wherein each of the N zones comprises M sub-zones, where M is an integer greater than one. A control module selectively activates at least a selected one of the N zones to initiate regeneration in downstream portions of the PM filter from the one of the N zones and deactivates non-selected ones of the N zones.

摘要： The invention relates to filter cleaning in a vacuum having a switchable flap element, the cleaning of the filter or of parts of the filter being carried out by supplying a secondary air flow to the interior of the filter to be cleaned, and air being able to flow through the filters separately from each other from the outside to the inside in the vacuum container in a sealed manner, and a flap element disposed in a chamber housing being pivotable, by means of the pivoting of which openings may be closed and released, the secondary air flow reaching the surface of the filter to be cleaned from the inside toward the outside in pulses, characterized in that the flap element comprises at least two partial flaps, the pivoting of which is actuated by a pivot drive, the respective partial flap optionally closes the outflow opening of the respective filter chamber in the direction of the intake opening of the suction turbine, the blow-out side of the suction turbine delivers the created overpressure air into an overpressure chamber in which a chamber housing is disposed, the at least one drive element to be suddenly actuated comprises openings to be opened and closed, upon the opening of which the overpressure air flows through the chamber housing optionally into an impulse channel which branches off at that location and introduces the air into one or into the other filter chamber for cleaning.

摘要： A filter unit for filtering exhaust gas from diesel engines comprises a casing and a filter body arranged in the casing. The filter body is composed of a plurality of filter segments extending in the axial direction of the casing, the filter segments being of a porous electrically conductive and heat-resistant material, such as silicon carbide (SiC), and being arranged adjacent to each other, but electrically insulated from each other at adjacent axially extending interfaces. Each segment in the filter unit is supplied with an electrode of an electrically conductive material at each end of the segment in axial direction. The resistance of each individual segment, measured from one electrode to the other, is in the range from 10 milliOhms to 100 Ohms. In the filter unit the segments may be electrically coupled in series by means of the electrodes. The electrodes may, alternatively, be connected to an electrical circuit permitting electrical connection of 2 or more segments variable between serial and parallel and combinations thereof. The cross section of each segment may be shaped as a circle sector, the segments together cross-sectionally constituting a circle. Due to the segmented design, the resistance of the unit can be adapted to the requirements of accumulators in vehicles.

摘要： The invention concerns a device for purifying exhaust gas from a mixture-compressing internal combustion engine, the device comprising a regeneratable filter system (1) for separating particles (2) from the exhaust gas (3). At least one filter element (4) is disposed in a housing (5). For regeneration, oxygenous regeneration gas (6) can flow through the filter element (4) charged with particles (2). The temperature of the regeneration gas (6) is at least as high as the combustion temperature of the particles (2) and the material of the filter element (4) is resistant to the effect of the regeneration gas (6). The filter system (1) comprises at least two filter elements (4.1, 4.2) which, during regular use of the device according to the specification, can be controlled in timed succession by at least one control member (7) such that, for the separation of particles (2), only the exhaust gas (3) flows through at least one of the regenerated filter elements (4.1) and simultaneously, for regeneration purposes, only the regeneration gas (6) flows through at least one of the particle-charged filter elements (4.2).
