    • This invention relates to an apparatus for dispensing a viscous fluid whether in combination, disassembly or assembly. The apparatus comprising a cartridge, reservoir or tube containing the fluid and having an openable or opened outlet structure which, when opened, allows the expression of the fluid from a created outlet aperture. A nozzle is engaged or engageable to the outlet structure and/or cartridge, reservoir or tube whereby fluid expressed from the outlet aperture can subsequently move to and be expressed from the nozzle outlet. The openable or opened outlet structure is adapted to provide on opening at least one outlet aperture having a size of area A; and wherein the nozzle has or is adapted to be cut to provide a nozzle outlet of area B, area B being greater than or equal to area A.

    • A cladding system based on a specially configured base sheet (1) profiled to provide a ship lap expressed joint (6) with an adjacent sheet, which is ideal for use with relatively low-build brushable or rollable texture coatings. The ship lap expressed joint (6) includes within the visible portion of the joint between the outer surfaces of the base sheets, an interface line (8) defined by an inner overlapping edge (9) of one of the base sheets, whereby the interface line (8) is set in from the outer surface of the base sheets. This arrangement enables coated walls, and in particular texture coated masonry look walls, to be created at a much lower cost and using less skilled operators, as it obviates the need to set and finish the joints between adjacent sheets and the problems associated with that process.

    • A cornice cement applicator has a reservoir for holding cornice cement and at least one dispensing nozzle for depositing a bead of cornice cement in a desired location along the cornice. As the applicator is passed along the cornice, a piston or other actuator causes ejection of cornice cement from the reservoir out the dispensing nozzle(s). Appropriate nozzle design provides for deposition of a bead of cornice having sufficient cement but without surplus, neatly and at a substantially faster rate than can be achieved by manual trowelling. Such an applicator with two dispensing nozzles spaced apart by about the width of the cornice can simultaneously deposit a bead of cement along both rear edges of the cornice in a single pass, saving time. The reservoir can be rapidly and simply charged by submerging the nozzles in cement and withdrawing the piston to cause intake of cement.

    • A tool (1) for spreading adhesive over a substrate has a blade edge (4) with a set of spaced large indentations (5) and at least one set of spaced smaller indentations (6) extending into the blade edge. The smaller indentations extend into the blade less than any one of the large indentations and are interspaced between the large indentations. The blade edge is slid over the substrate to which adhesive has been applied and the adhesive is spread such that the large indentations form large ridges (20) of adhesive projecting from the substrate. The smaller indentations form smaller ridges (21) of adhesive projecting from the substrate and the smaller ridges (21) are interspaced between the large ridges (20). When a tile (23) is pressed into the adhesive the larger ridges (20) are compressed first, thereby broadening the ridge and pushing adjacent ridges into the smaller ridges (21). In this any void between ridges is more readily filled and a more uniform spread of keyed in adhesive is achieved.
