Este mismo espacio funciona como recipiente de líquidos cuando el urinario está en posición vertical, el resto de líquidos que aún queda en el urinario cae en este espacio, sin caer en el resto del cuerpo del Inodoro y menos en la persona que lo utiliza; un sistema de doble descarga, donde una va directamente a la taza del inodoro para deposiciones sólidas, y la otra va directamente al urinario para deposiciones líquidas.
