摘要： The invention refers to the manufacturing of a novel group of sulfur dyes in which are used, as raw material, different kind of natural "biomass", usually existing in the nature, and transforming them into soluble dyestuffs, capable to dye textile fibres, preferably cellulose fibres and derivatives, as cotton, viscose, paper, tencel, with high strength and fast colour properties. For this purpose, the concept "Biomass", is defined as the residual product obtained from the usual human crop activities, in agricultural and forestry sectors.

摘要： The present invention relates to a process wherein one or more dye precursors, e.g., indole, are provided to a textile and converted by one or more enzymes, e.g., an oxidizing enzyme, to provide the textile with a dye, e.g. indigo. At least the oxidizing enzyme is a hybrid enzyme including a binding domain that is suitable to bind the enzyme to the textile and/or increase the affinity of the enzyme for the textile, in particular, a cellulose binding domain (CBD).

摘要： A method of manufacturing and distributing a garment that commemorates a memorable place or tangible object. The method comprises the following steps: (a) converting at least a portion of the place or object to a particulate form, (b) mixing the particulate matter with a dye composition to form a dye mixture, (c) obtaining a quantity of dyeable garments, (d) dyeing at leasta portion of each of said garments, using said dye mixture, and (e) distributing the dyed garments to members of the public, each one accompanied by a visually readable imprint that informs the reader that the garment has been colored in a formulation that contained at least a portion of the object and that identifies the nature of the portion that was used. A winning race car, for example, may be commemorated in this manner by mixing paint scraped from the car with a dye solutioln of approximately the same color and using the resultant slurry to dye t-shirts that are then tagged as to origin and distributed in commerce.

摘要： According to the invention, a metal salt and an oxygen source are applied to penetrate or impregnate a suitable substrate sequentially in effective amounts so as to react in contact with the substrate and produce a mineral compound fixed within the surface of the substrate. The inventive combination of a mutually compatible metal salt, oxygen source, and substrate brings about an in situ reaction, and modifies the substrate to bring about a lasting desired effect. The mineral compound that is produced according to the invention is linked to the substrate, is stable and long-lasting or permanent, and is immobilized or insolubilized in the substrate. The mineral compound is bound or contained within and on the substrate of the substrate, so it may be said to be ingrained in the fibers or matrix of the substrate, or embedded within the substrate. The desired effect is preferably a color. A wide variety of metal salts may be used depending on the desired effect. The oxygen source is preferably a peroxide, and the substrate is preferably a cellulose product such as wood, cotton, or paper; leather; or masonry. The invention contemplates methods of treating substrates, treatment kits, and treated products. With wood products, the invention provides a water-based stain of low toxicity useful for soft woods.
