    • The present invention relates to a method for payment in association with the automatic refuelling of vehicles, primarily automobiles, where a robot (1) is used comprising a robot head (2), which can be moved relative to the robot such that it is possible to displace it from a resting location to a pre-determined position relative to the fuel pipe of the vehicle by means of a positioning system (3), where a computer belonging to the robot (1) is arranged to control the robot head (3) to carry out a docking procedure with the fuel pipe of the vehicle, after which fuel is supplied to the vehicle, and to return to the resting position once refuelling is complete. The invention is characterised in that the robot (1) is connected to a computer system (5) in which information is stored concerning a mobile telephone number assigned to each customer who has been registered in the system and a credit or debit card number of the card that is to be debited for the fuel that the customer in question has taken, in that each robot (1) has been assigned a unique telephone number, and in that when the customer calls using a mobile telephone (7) with the said number the number that has been assigned to the robot (1) in question the robot (1) is caused to start a refuelling sequence on receiving a signal from the said computer system (5) and to refuel the vehicle, and in that after the refuelling sequence of the robot (1) has been started but before the commencement of the refuelling flow, the computer system (5) is caused to send a command to a display (LO) in association with the robot (1), on which display at least information about the fuel that is to be provided is dis-played, whereby the refuelling sequence can be caused to be interrupted by means of an action from the customer.

    • A beverage distribution system is offered for the purpose of self-service beverage dispensing, capable of providing customers real-time feedback on beverage consumption levels. The system includes a network of control stations and patron stations which are in constant communication via a wired or wireless network. The system is capable of detecting low beverage levels in beverage containers when or before they occur and can inform wait staff of such events. Furthermore, wait staff is provided with the tools to perform intelligent control of the self-service consumption according to local laws as well as paying visits to patrons at the appropriate time resulting in a very efficient system. A novel valve control scheme is also offered that is energy efficient, that does not generate undesirable heat in the presence of cooled beverages. Also, a generic flow control for beverage distribution is presented.

    • The present invention provides a method, system and apparatus for robotic refuelling of satellites. The system may include a dedicated refuelling satellite launched directly from either earth, or alternatively it could be launched from another larger mother spacecraft or space station in which the refuelling satellite is ferried into space in the case of the larger space craft or it may be stored on the space station until needed from which it can be launched. The system includes a robotic arm, suitable tools which can be affixed to the end effector of the robotic arm required for accessing, opening and closing the fuel fill valve on the satellite being serviced, storage and retrieval stations on a tool caddy on which the tools and various fuel fill valve caps are stored. The system is under teleoperation by a remotely located operator, for example located on earth, in the mother station or in the space station. Cameras are included focussed on the robotic arm and end effector and images are transmitted to the operator to allow the operator to direct and control the refuelling procedure. The system may also be configured to be operated autonomously under computer control.
