The drive mechanism includes an electric motor, a transmission operably coupled to the electric motor, a spindle operably coupled to an output of the transmission, the spindle configured to transmit torque generated by the electric motor to a working tool bit, and a clutch disposed between the output of the transmission and the spindle. The clutch includes a plurality of spherical rolling elements configured to engage the output of the transmission, a plurality of cylindrical clutch elements, and at least one biasing member configured to bias the cylindrical clutch elements towards the spherical rolling elements. Each of the cylindrical clutch elements includes a length measured parallel to a rotational axis of the spindle and a diameter, and the diameter is greater than the length.

摘要： A cordless, hoseless fastener driver tool with a compressed gas pressure chamber has a removable end cap that is securely attached to the tool via four screws. Removing each screw in succession releases the compressed gas in a controlled manner, which then allows a user to safely remove the end cap to access the interior of the tool. The user can perform a maintenance procedure and service the interior mechanical portions of the tool, such as repairing or replacing a driver, a piston, and/or a piston stop, as well as the cylinder sleeve, or other internal components. Once the end cap is removed, the components listed above can be removed (and replaced) without the use of any further tools.

The impact mechanism includes a striker received within the spindle that reciprocates along a reciprocation axis in response to the variable pressure air spring, a piston that reciprocates along the reciprocation axis to induce the variable pressure air spring, and a crankshaft configured to convert continuous rotational motion from the motor to reciprocating linear movement of the piston. The crankshaft defines a crank axis perpendicular to the reciprocation axis, and the motor defines a motor axis that is parallel with the reciprocation axis. A center of gravity of the impact power tool is positioned between the motor axis and the reciprocation axis.
