An example method of video processing includes performing a conversion between a video and a bitstream of the video, wherein the bitstream includes network abstraction layer (NAL) units for multiple video layers according to a rule; wherein the rule defines a sub-bitstream extraction process by which NAL units are removed from the bitstream to generate an output bitstream, and wherein the rule specifies to remove all supplemental enhancement information (SEI) NAL units that contain a non-scalable-nested SEI message with a particular payload type, responsive to a list of NAL unit header layer identifier values in an output layer set (OLS) with a target OLS index not including all values of NAL unit header layer identifiers in all video coding layer (VCL) NAL units in the bitstream that is input to the sub-bitstream extraction process.

A non-pruned MVD frame is obtained and an acyclic graph representing pruning precedence relations between views is determined. The MVD is pruned by using these precedence relations. The SEI NAL unit contains a scalable nesting SEI message. A set of bitstream conformance tests is performed on the bitstream based on the scalable nesting SEI message. The bitstream is stored for communication toward a decoder.

摘要： Systems, apparatuses, and methods for adjusting the compression level for blocks of a frame based on a distance of each block to the focus region are disclosed. A system includes a transmitter sending a video stream over a wireless link to a receiver. The transmitter compresses frames of the video stream prior to sending the frames to the receiver. For each block of pixels of a frame, the transmitter selects a compression level to apply to the block based on the distance from the block to the focus region, with the compression level increasing the further the block is from the focus region. The focus region is the portion of a half frame where each eye is expected to be focusing when viewed by a user. The transmitter encodes each block with the selected compression level and then conveys the encoded blocks to a receiver to be displayed.
