    • A method and apparatus for locating a rigid support body at a predetermined location with respect to an aperture in a wall of a facility are disclosed. The apparatus comprises: a rigid support body comprising a through-bore that extends through the support body from a first end of the support body to a further end and through which a flexible elongate member is locatable; and at least one retaining element supported on the support body via a respective connector that selectively allows the retaining element to swivel from a storage position to a deployed position; wherein in the storage position the support body is locatable through an aperture in a wall of a facility from a first position outside the facility to a further position in which at least a portion of the support body is within the facility, and in the deployed position the retaining element is disposed to prevent the support body passing fully through the aperture from the further position to the first position and to locate the rigid support body at a predetermined position with respect to the aperture.

    • A method and apparatus for selectively releasing at least one retaining element during a pull-in process that locates a rigid support body at a predetermined location with respect to an aperture in a wall of a facility are disclosed. The apparatus comprises: a rigid support body comprising a through bore that extends through a length of the support body and through which a flexible elongate member is locatable; at least one latch arm slidable along a respective axis of sliding with respect to the support body; and for each latch arm, an abutment element that moves with the latch arm and is disposed to abut with a portion of a wall of a facility when the support body is located through an aperture in the wall of the facility; wherein the latch arm is disposed to respectively slide in a first direction of motion away from a retaining element supported on the rigid support body when the rigid support body passes through the aperture to thereby release the retaining element from a storage position when the retaining element is within the facility.

The plurality of parallel spiralled armouring wires in the first section (I) comprises or consists out of first armouring wires (121). The first armouring wires (121) are carbon steel wires comprising a metallic corrosion resistant coating. At least part of the plurality of parallel spiralling armouring wires in the second section (III) comprise austenitic steel wires (123). In the transition section (II), ends of first armouring wires (121) are individually welded to ends of austenitic steel wires (123) of the second section (III). The transition section (II) starts at the first weld (137) between a first armouring wire (121) and an austenitic steel wire (123). The transition section (II) ends at the last weld (130) between a first armouring wire (121) and an austenitic steel wire (123). The transition section (II) is at least 10 meter long.
