摘要： Microfluid circuits, devices, systems, and methods are disclosed for providing an indication of a rheological property, such as viscosity, of a sample substance relative to a control. The embodiments presented may be implemented in Point-of-Care (POC) devices for medical diagnostics. Multiple flow transducing channels each carry a separate flow of a corresponding fluid substance, and a pump simultaneously activates and sustains flow of each fluid substance through the associated flow transducing channel. In a preferred embodiment, a common microfluidics capillary pump is fluidly connected to the multiple flow transducing channels and applies a substantially identical pump pressure to each of the channels during a measurement phase. The resulting flow of fluids through the flow transducing channels provides an indication of a rheological property of one substance relative to another. In a preferred embodiment, relative total displacements along the respective flow transducing channels provides an indication of relative viscosities.

摘要： A non-pressurized fluid level shutoff system for a fuel tank includes a fuel receiver having a flow control valve that opens in a direction opposite a direction of fuel flow, and that cannot be manually overridden. A fuel sensor funnels fuel through a fuel jet outlet orifice to form a stream of fuel across a cutout section, and a supplemental peripheral port connected between an outlet orifice mixing chamber and the interior of the tank is oriented perpendicular to the stream of fuel across the cutout section, to interfere with the stream of fuel when the sensor is submerged in fuel in the tank, to further reduce any residual fluid flow signal when the sensor is fully submerged, allowing the flow control valve in the receiver to close completely.

摘要： An aspect provides a ventilation manifold for a ventilator, the manifold comprising a fluid flow path, the flow path comprising: bifurcated end paths, a constriction path and a compressed breathable gas chamber fluidly coupled to a compressed breathable gas source, the manifold having a manifold axis defined by the constriction path; a source path of the bifurcated ends coupled to an outlet conduit for a ventilator to present the compressed breathable gas at a source angle to one side of the manifold axis; and a vent path at a vent angle to the manifold axis for an exhaust flow, the vent path acting to provide a fluid pressure valve upon an inlet compressed breathable gas from the constriction path to urge flow towards the source path and a by-pass for returned outlet spent gas flow from the source path against the inlet compressed breathable gas at the constriction path, the fluid pressure valve and the by-pass dependent upon the relative magnitudes of the source angle and the vent angle to the manifold axis and/or each other along with the configuration of the constriction path and/or the configuration of the source path and/or the vent path.
