摘要： In alternative embodiments, provided are methods and processes for the removal of cadmium (Cd) from wet-process phosphoric acid that may contain Cd, including excessive amounts of Cd. The process developed is based on the application of commercially available ion exchange resins with the application of Continuous Ion Exchange (CIX) technology. In alternative embodiments, provided are processes and methods for the recovery and/or the removal of cadmium from wet-process phosphoric acid using a continuous ion exchange approach. In alternative embodiments, use of processes and methods as provided herein allows for the reduction of cadmium metal contaminants with minimal phosphate losses and dilution in order to produce a phosphoric acid that is suitable for the production of fertilizers and phosphoric acid products, such as world-class diammonium phosphate fertilizer (DAP), merchant-grade phosphoric acid, super-phosphoric acid, and other phosphoric acid products.

摘要： An improved method for the recovery of metal and/or chemical values from an industrial waste stream containing zinc, cadmium, lead and/or iron compounds by heating the waste stream in a reducing atmosphere, treating the resultant fumes in an ammonium chloride solution, separating any undissolved components from the solution, adjusting the pH of the solution, if necessary, to less than about 6.3, displacing undesired metal ions from the solution using zinc metal, treating the solution to remove therefrom zinc compounds, adjusting the pH of the solution to about 6.5 to about 7.0, and further treating the zinc compounds and the undissolved components, as necessary, resulting in the zinc products and the optional iron-carbon feedstock.

The fixation reagents may include inorganic sulfides and phosphates, as well as adsorbents. The polymeric matrices may be compresed of polyvinyl alcohols and polyvinyl acetates. 摘要： The invention provides rupturable barriers between soluble metals and fixation reagents as a part of integrated fixation systems in apparatuses that house soluble metals, to ameliorate release into the environment of solubilized metals. The fixation reagents may be held within a container, the surface of which container comprises a rupturable barrier. When the barrier between them is ruptured, the fixation reagents react with the soluble metals to form less soluble metal compounds. This may occur when the reagents are either released from a container or accessed while within the container. Apparatuses of the invention may include various types of batteries, mercury switches, ballasts from fluorescent lights, electronic circuit boards, spent solar panels and the like. The containers for fixation reagents of the invention may include capsules, impregnated mats and the like. Reagents may include cements, sulfides, phosphates, buffers, absorbents and the like in either liquid, slurry or solid form. In one aspect of the present invention, the container is integrated into the manufacture of a commercial apparatus, such that reagents are released or accessed when the useful life of the apparatus has been completed, either during storage prior to disposal of the apparatus or on disposal of the apparatus.

摘要： The invention relates to a process for the treatment of photovoltaic end-of-life panels, such as those made of CdTe and crystalline and amorphous silicon. The process involves automated physical and chemical operations that, combined in a sequence, allow recovering glass in the first place and also tellurium, zinc, cadmium, iron, and concentrate silicon, T1O2 and silver. By means of this process the different types of panel can also be treated all together, without any kind of preliminary selection. The process guarantees a recovery of glass of 80 to 85% by weight, which alone can satisfy the minimum target for the recovery of material imposed by the recent European directive 2012/19/EU.
