摘要： According to one embodiment, a process for applying an adhesive material onto a barrier sheet substrate is provided. The process includes providing an adhesive material having viscosity of at least about 10,000 centipoise at 250°F. The adhesive material is applied to a multitude of cavities on a surface of a first tool with a coater unit in close proximity to the surface. The adhesive material is transferred from the surface of the first tool to the substrate supported on a surface of a second tool and pressed against the surface of the first tool.

摘要： A device is provided for winding paper in which the paper web running is supported by a reel drum and wound onto exchangeable reel shafts in contact with the reel drum in order to form rolls of paper. The device applies a heated adhesive agent on the web and/or on the reel shaft onto which the web is to be wound. A spray rack is mounted on the stand of the reel-up, upstream of the reel drum and extending transversely to the machine direction, or alternatively, is mounted in various other locations of the reel-up. A hopper with a heater heats the heated adhesive agent to temporarily lower its viscosity and stickness for smooth and even spraying. The series of nozzles are mounted on the rack spaced across the width of the web to spread spray jets of liquid containing said heated adhesive onto the web and/or the reel shaft. The adhesive area thus is disposed between the web and the empty reel shaft so as to facilitate initiating the winding process.

摘要： A mailing system includes a computer system having a sender terminal and a receiver terminal and adapted to transmit a mail item from the sender terminal to the receiver terminal. A printer device in the receiver terminal is adapted to print a mail item from the sender terminal in a document including coded data thereon, the coded data including an indication of the identity of the mail item and at least one reference point on the document. A sensing device is arranged to communicate to the computer system indicating data from the sensing device, the indicating data including information regarding the identity of the mail item and at least one action of the sensing device in relation to the document generated by the sensing device using at least some of the coded data, whereby the computer system can generate a second mail item using the indicating data from the sensing device.
