摘要： A dispensing pouch (10) comprises a pair of superimposed panels (11, 12) sealed together to define a reservoir (13), adapted to contain a high viscosity liquid therein. A spout (23) is formed on a lower end of the pouch (10) and has a pump (16) disposed therein that defines a charging chamber (20), communicating with the reservoir (13), to retain a pre-measured charge of the liquid therein. The liquid is discharged from the charging chamber (20) in response to the external application of pumping pressure onto an outer side of the spout (23). The pouch (10) is adapted for mounting in a dispensing unit (29), having a dual action pressure plate (38), for periodically pumping and dispensing the pre-measured charge of liquid from the charging chamber (20) of the pump (16). The pump (16) is preferably defined by a separate insert (18), sandwiched between the panels (11, 12) of the pouch (10). A method for making the pouch is also disclosed.
