    • The present invention relates to a shifting device for shifting of a bicycle gear, such as a hub gear (17), of a bicycle comprising a main control unit (12) and preferably a motor control unit (13), comprising: - a shifting control unit for receiving of shifting instructions from the main control unit (12) or the motor control unit (13), comprising a processing unit and a memory, - power receiving means, such as comprising an electrical connector, for receiving of power from a battery of the main control unit (12) and/or a drive motor battery of the bicycle, - a shifting motor (2), such as an electric motor, such as a stepper motor for providing a shifting motion for driving a shifting assembly for actuating of a gear actuator (11), - the shifting assembly for transferring of the shifting motion from the shifting motor to the gear actuator (11), - the gear actuator for transferring of the shifting motion to the bicycle gear, wherein: -the shifting control unit, by means of communication with and controlling by the main control unit (12) of the bicycle, is configured as a subsystem of the bicycle, and -the shifting control unit shifts the bicycle gear at each time on the basis of shifting instructions from the main control unit (12) or the motor control unit (13).

    • The present invention relates to a pedaling-assisting transmission, and particularly, to an apparatus which senses stepping pressure being applied onto a pedal by a rider, and actively controls a motor driving force for driving a motor in accordance with the sensed stepping pressure. The apparatus comprises: a fixed shaft (100) fixed on a vehicle frame; a hub shell (200) rotatably supported at an outer surface of the fixed shaft (100) to output a follower force; an electromotive-force-driven unit (300) driven by the rotation of a motor (310); a manual-force-driven unit (400) which receives, as an input, a driving force produced by the pedaling of the rider, and which is driven by the received driving force; a selective output unit (500) arranged among the electromotive-force-driven unit (300), the manual-force-driven unit (400) and the hub shell (200) so as to selectively transmit, to the hub shell (200), an output from either the electromotive-force-driven unit (300) and the manual-force-driven unit (400), which rotates at a speed higher than that of the other; a torque sensor (600) which senses driving forces being applied from an external source to the manual-force-driven unit (400); and a control unit (not shown) which controls the rotating speed of the motor (310) in accordance with the driving forces sensed by the torque sensor (600). The apparatus of the present invention not only enables the rider to easily accelerate the vehicle, should the rider so desire, through the motor by pedaling without an additional operation, but also enables multi-stage gear-shifting to be autonomously performed in the apparatus by means of a multi-stage planetary gear, thereby achieving suitable torque and speed in accordance with travel conditions.
