The device is of particular utility where a car is fitted with a rear bicycle rack or where the electrical connections to a trailer, etc. have not been made. The device comprises a light detection means attached to or near a rear indicator of the vehicle. When the vehicle indicator is switched on, the indicator light is detected by the light detection means which then generates a signal. The signal generated may be, for example, a corresponding light indicator in a trailer board. Optionally an external power source may be accessed by the device and is preferably the battery of the vehicle. The light detection means may be an optical fiber.

摘要： An additional stop light capable of being placed in the interior space of a vehicle has a housing (1) engaged by a light-diffusing screen (15). A covering cap (2) is reversed on the housing so that its outer surface forms the stop light outer surface visible from the inside of the vehicle. Two locking tongues (5, 6) set on side parts of the housing (1) are provided with outwardly projecting locking heels (7, 8) hooked from behind by locking projections (9, 10) formed on the inner side of the covering cap (2). Unlocking flaps (11, 12) formed by two curved slots (13, 14) are provided on the covering cap (2) for removing it. By exerting a pressure from the outside on the unlocking flaps (11, 12), the locking tongues (5, 6) are pressed inwards, causing the cap to be unlocked. The colour of the covering cap may fit the colour of the trim, whereas the housing (1) may have a constant colour for all trim colours.

摘要： This device for giving and controlling a vehicle U-turn signal comprises a U-turn signal indicator (1) and a control circuit. The U-turn signal indicator (1) can consist of an array of LEDs which makes a loop circuit with an arrow. One can be mounted on the front plate (2) of a vehicle, and another one can be mounted on the back plate. The control circuit consists of a rectifier, a first integrator, a second integrator, a counter, a switching transistor, and a relay. The outputs of the counter and the rectifier are connected to the inputs of the NAND which controls the on or off working state of the switching transistor and the relay, to activate the U-turn indicator. The input of the rectifier is connected to the turn signal pulses of a vehicle. When certain pulse patterns are generated, the U-turn signal indicator is activated.

摘要： A visual display device (10) is especially suited for use as a center-high-mounted stop-light (CHMSL) for an automobile rear window which slants downwardly from the horizontal by a small angle. The device (10) includes a linear light source (12) which preferably emits red light. A display panel (14) has a light receiving edge (14a) extending parallel and adjacent to the light source (12) and first and second opposing surfaces (14b, 14c). The second surface (14b) slants toward the first surface (14c) in a direction away from the edge (14a) and is formed with steps (14d) having walls (14e) which are angled toward the edge (14a) such that the peak output light propagating through the display panel (14) from the edge (14a) is refracted horizontally out of the panel (14). The walls (14e) of the steps (14d) are formed with laterally spaced depressions (14f) for lateral dispersion of light. In addition to use as a CHMSL, the display device (10) can be employed in other applications in which a uniform, linear light source is required.
