    • A trolley for lifting and/or moving a load on one or more lines and an installation and method using it are disclosed. The trolley comprises a first side plate (10) and a second side plate (12) and a plurality of sheave assemblies. Each sheave assembly includes a sheave axle (30) that includes an axle shaft (34) which projects from the first plate (10), a sheave cartridge (20) carried on the axle shaft (34) between the plates. Each sheave cartridge (20) includes a pulley wheel (22) that can rotate on a bearing (24) around an axis of the axle shaft (34). The axes of the shafts are parallel to one another. Retention fasteners (40, 42) extend thought the second plate (12) to secure the second plate (12) to the first plate (10) through the axle shafts (34). An installation comprises a trolley and a main line that extends between two fixed anchorages. In use, the main line passes between the plates (10, 12) of the trolley, whereby the main line makes contact with one or more sheave or pulley wheel (22) of the trolley whereby the trolley can be suspended from and travel along the main line.

    • The present invention refers to a radiusing element (1) for forming a curvilinear length in a cable system comprising a bearing cable (201) adapted to support carriages or sheaves (101) having one or more pulleys (102) adapted to engage such bearing cable (201). The radiusing element (1) comprises a main tubular body (2) axially extending along a curvilinear arc and adapted to receive the bearing cable (201), so that the bearing cable substantially follows the curvilinear arc, and adapted to be outwardly engaged by said pulleys (102). The present invention further refers to a cable system provided with one or more of such radiusing elements and a carriage or sheave adapted to operate in such system.

    • A pulley block is disclosed. The pulley block comprises: first (10) and second (12) plates and a pulley (30) sheave disposed between the plates for rotation on bearings upon a sheave axle (40, 42) that extends between the plates along a sheave axis. The plates are connected to the sheave axle so as to permit rotation of one plate with respect to the other about the sheave axis between a closed position of the pulley block and an open position of the pulley block. Each plate has, at a position remote from the sheave axis, a respective bollard formation, which bollard formations are disposed such that, when the plates are in the closed position, the respective bollard formations are in contact with or in close proximity to one another to form a bollard that extends between the plates. When the plates are in the open position, the respective bollard formations are spaced apart. The pulley sheave rotates on bearings upon a sheave axle assembly that extends between the plates along a sheave axis. Which assembly has a main axle that is fixed for rotation with respect to the first plate and free for rotation with respect to the second plate and an axle cap that clamps the main axle to the first plate, the axle cap being removably secured to the main axle.
