    • A milk module (1) for producing hot or cold, frothed or non-frothed milk-based beverages, from liquid milk, comprising a milk line (3) extending from a milk container (4) up to a milk dispensing nozzle (5); and an air line (9) extending from an air source and opens into the milk line (3). The milk line (3) comprises a milk pump (6) to suck milk from the milk container (4), a flow restriction (7) arranged on the delivery side of the milk pump (6), and a milk heater (8). The milk module (1) further comprises a proportional air solenoid valve (16) arranged along the air line (9); a pressure sensor (17) arranged along the milk line (3), on the delivery side of the milk pump (6) to measure and output an output indicative of the measured pressure of the milk- air mixture in the milk line (3); and an electronic control unit (18) in communication with the pressure sensor (17) to receive the output thereof and with the proportional air solenoid valve (16) to control operation thereof. In order to control the operation of the proportional air solenoid valve (16), the electronic control unit (18) is programmed to store data representative of at least one target pressure profile (P) indicative of a time development of the target pressure of the milk-air mixture that is desired to be obtained in the milk line (3), downstream of the milk pump (6); and closed-loop control the proportional air solenoid valve (16) based on the pressure of the milk-air mixture measured by the pressure sensor (17) and the target pressure profile (P).

    • An apparatus (1) for making a beverage by means of a capsule (9) comprises a supporting frame (11), an infusion unit (2) which defines an infusion chamber (20), a loader (5) for loading the capsule (9) into the infusion chamber (20). The infusion unit (2) comprises a first member (21) and a second member (22): the first member (21) is movable relative to the second member (22) between a home position, in which the first member (21) and the second member (22) are spaced apart from each other and the infusion chamber (20) is open and allows loading of the capsule (9) into the infusion chamber (20), and an operating position, in which the first member (21) and the second member (22) are coupled to each other and the infusion chamber (20) is closed. The loader (5) has an insertion opening (501) for inserting the capsule (9) into the loader (5), a receiving seat (50) for receiving the inserted capsule (9) and an outfeed opening (502) through which the capsule (9) can come out of the receiving seat (50) towards the infusion chamber (20). The loader (5) is movable relative to the supporting frame (11) between a loading position and a receiving position, in a way coordinated with the movement of the first member (21). When the first member (21) is in the home position, the loader (5) is in the loading position: the receiving seat (50) is in communication with the open infusion chamber (20) through the outfeed opening (502) and the capsule (9) in the receiving seat (50) comes out through the outfeed opening (502) and is loaded into the infusion chamber (20). When the first member (21) is in the operating position, the loader (5) is in the receiving position: the outfeed opening (502) is blocked and the capsule (9) inserted in the loader (5) remains in the receiving seat (50).

    • Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Getränkezubereitungsvorrichtung (1) zum Zubereiten eines Getränks mittels einer Portionskapsel (2), wobei die Portionskapsel (2) ein Basiselement (3) mit einer offenen Seite und ein an der offenen Seite seitlich von dem Basiselement (3) abstehenden Rand (5) aufweist, wobei an dem Rand (5) eine die offene Seite, insbesondere hermetisch, verschließende Deckelfolie (4) befestigt ist, wobei in dem durch die Deckelfolie (4) und das Basiselement (3) gebildeten Hohlraum ein Getränkerohmaterial angeordnet ist, wobei die Portionskapsel (2) auf der von der Deckelfolie (4) abgewandten Seite des Randes eine Kennung (6) aufweist, wobei die Getränkezubereitungsvorrichtung eine Brühkammer (7, 107, 207) aufweist, die zur Aufnahme der Portionskapsel (2) vorgesehen ist, wobei die Brühkammer (7, 107, 207) ein erstes Brühkammerelement (8, 108, 208), und ein zweites Brühkammerelement (9, 109, 209) umfasst, die zwischen einer offenen Stellung, in der die Portionskapsel (2) in die Brühkammer (7, 107, 207) einsetzbar und/oder aus der Brühkammer (7, 107, 207) entfernbar ist, und einer geschlossenen Stellung, in der zur Getränkezubereitung eine Flüssigkeit in die Portionskapsel (2) einleitbar ist, relativ zueinander bewegbar sind, wobei die Getränkezubereitungsvorrichtung wenigstens ein Detektionsmittel (10, 110, 210) zum Erfassen der Kennung (6) aufweist, wobei die Brühkammer (7, 107, 207) und die Portionskapsel (2) während der Getränkezubereitung unbeweglich, insbesondere nicht-rotierend, vorgesehen sind.
