摘要： In a device for issuing web sections from a roll, the metering roller (1) has a frictional coating (2) and has on the frontal surfaces (43) a spiral guide (3) to actuate a slide (6). The slide (6) has a blade (12) and is held in the spiral guide (3) by a return spring (15). 摘要： A dispenser (10) for dispensing and advancing sheet material (12) is provided. The dispenser includes a frame (14) and a drive roller (16) rotationally mounted to the frame. The drive roller is configured for engagement with sheet material so that rotation of the drive roller causes movement of the sheet material. A segmented gear (18) with first and second drive segments (52, 54) is mounted to the frame and is in communication with the drive roller. A spring (20) is included and is in communication with the segmented gear. The spring is configured so that rotation of the segmented gear causes the spring to store potential energy. Release of potential energy in the spring causes the segmented gear to rotate. A cutting blade (22) is provided and is configured for cutting the sheet material in order to release potential energy. The dispenser allows for a piece of sheet material to be dispensed therefrom and subsequently presents the user with a new piece of sheet material for future removal.
