摘要： An original equipment type seal for recharged toner cartridges can be installed without splitting the cartridge itself, by screening a border of "hot-melt" type adhesive onto a strip of polyester. The softening or melting point of the adhesive is chosen to be above that of the toner powder, but below that of the cartridge. The polyester seal is inserted into the cartridge with a metallic insertion tool. Heating the tool, or inserting a hot tool, will cause the adhesive to melt and seal the cartridge. The insertion of a "pressure tool" incorporating a magnet into the fill hole in the cartridge allows one to bring about an intimate contact between the adhesive and the cartridge. The utilisation of wax-based adhesives and a cold, and then heated, insertion tool, together with a magnetic pressure tool is the preferred embodiment.

摘要： A developer container (32) has a main part accommodating a developer therein and is detachably attached to a main part of an image forming apparatus (100). The developer container comprises an outlet provided at a side of the developer container to discharge the developer from the developer container. An input unit (37) is provided adjacent to the outlet and has a small-diameter portion an inside diameter of which is smaller than a diameter of the container main part wherein, when the developer container is attached to the image forming apparatus, the input unit is engaged with a drive motor (41) of the image forming apparatus to receive a rotating force of the drive motor. 摘要： To transfer the toner (21) from a storage vessel (20) into the toner storage container, a depression is created in the latter by means of a suction fan. The toner storage container is connected via a flexible pipe to an inseparable suction spout in the transfer container. The spout comprises an internal tube (29) communicating with the flexible pipe, and an external tube (31) which totally surrounds at a distance the inner tube (29), is open to the atmosphere in its upper part and is provided in its lower part with inlet openings (33) for the toner. The through-flow of air draws the toner through the toner inlet openings (33). The toner storage tank itself is divided into a deposit area and a suction area, which are separated by a filter. As a result of the through-flowing air stream the filter becomes arched. The inversion of the arch causes the detachment of the toner (21) adhering thereto, which then falls into the deposit area.
