    • A conveyor belt for electronic parts which permits conveyance of electronic parts such as IC packages in a favorably protective condition without sacrifice in convenience associated with carrier tapes. This belt is a conveyor belt T formed of a web material (10) having a flexibility for holding a number of electronic parts (40) each composed of a part body (42) and projections (44) in spaced relationship in a lengthwise direction for conveyance, and is provided with support bases (20) spaced from one another in a lengthwise direction of the web material (10) and disposed to project from a surface of the web material (10), support surfaces (22) adapted to abut against the part bodies (42) to support the electronic parts (40), openings (26) to extend to portions of both sides (24), in positions corresponding to the part bodies (42), of the support bases (20) from the support surfaces (22), and lengths of adhesive tape (30) bonded at adhesive surfaces (32) on one side thereof to a back face of the web material (10), which include the support surfaces (22), along a lengthwise direction, with the adhesive surfaces (32) partially exposed at the portions of the openings (26) where the adhesive tape is bonded to the part bodies (42).

    • A component tape printer is provided including a tape transfer device, or feeder, a counter, and a printer. The tape transfer device transfers the component tape from and to a component tape reel. The counter counts the electronic components stored on the component tape. The printer prints information on the component tape at specified intervals along the component tape. The counting and printing are performed during the transfer. The printed information can be printed on the carrier tape portion of the component tape or the cover tape portion of the component tape. The printed information includes any information relating to the particular components, for example specification data, tolerance data, and manufacturing information, and the information may be encoded. The printed information includes a count of electronic components where the count indicates the position of the corresponding electronic components on the component tape.
