摘要： A digital video cassette recorder (350) operates by the selection of predetermined replay speeds and the allocation of specific locations within each track from which data may be reproduced. These specific track locations are utilized during recording to place advance television image data for reproduction during "Trick Play" operation. The "Trick Play" image data (353) is also reproduced during normal playback but may not be utilized. The specific track locations are selected to facilitate "Trick Play" operation at a plurality of speeds in both forward and reverse directions. Since the advanced television signal comprises a plurality of predicted frames, transition from "Trick Play" to normal speed replay requires a control function which is responsive to the reproduction, at normal replay speed, of an interframe coded frame. Various methods of reproduced image transition are used for selecting both to and from "Trick Play" reproduction.

摘要： In order to improve the efficiency of the primary editing of a video tape, a shot-mark which is used as a mark during the primary editing is determined. In the case of video tape of a digital VTR format, the shot-mark can be recorded as a user's bit of a time code track. The shot-mark may be added during the editing. During the primary editing, a master tape is produced by using a certain range which is specified using the shot-mark position as a reference.

摘要： In a digital signal encoding method and apparatus, a digital signal recording medium and a digital signal decoding method and apparatus, the present invention improves an error correction capacity by a simple construction and reduces redundancy in encoding and decoding with digital signals error-correcting codes. When a digital signal is encoded with an error-correcting code, it is provided with a longer code length, more parity bits, and a longer interleave restriction length than specified by a compact disk standard so that redundancy can be reduced in comparison with the compact disk standard and a recordable data quantity can be increased.

The decoder (100) extracts an MPEG compatible ATV signal from the RF carrier. The decoder (100) comprises a generator (150) for producing HD video ouput and a compression decoder (140) for producing audio output. The "trick play" processor (200) changes the resolution of the original signal to form a "trick play" signal which multiplexer (340) combines with the received data stream, from block structurer (330), to form a record signal. 摘要： The invention relates to a process and device for recording and reproducing digital data blocks, especially for digital video display, on or from individual tracks on a magnetic tape by the helical-scanning method. The object of the invention is to improve the reproduction quality in special functions, e.g. seeking or time loop. The object is attained in that the test symbols needed for error correction in digital display are recorded on the tape in such a way that test symbols which cannot be assessed in these special functions are located at points on the track at which the greatest interference is likely in the special functions, i.e. when the tape is entering or leaving the magnetic head.
