    • An Ethernet interface module comprises a duplex port operable to transfer frames between said Ethernet network and a device and a path coupling a receive portion of the duplex port to a transmit portion of said first full duplex port. A queue is disposed in said first path. Evaluation apparatus is coupled to the queue and determines whether a received frame is addressed to said Ethernet interface module and whether a frame type field contains a frame type. The Ethernet interface module is operable in a first mode such that every said received frame is echoed back out the full duplex port; and is operable in a second mode such that each received frame that meets predetermined evaluation criteria is echoed back out the duplex port and those received frames that do not meet the predetermined evaluation criteria are discarded.

    • A motor controller for an electric motor is described. The motor controller is coupled to a power line communication connection and includes a communication device coupled to a memory device. The motor controller is configured to receive, using the communication device, a status query from a server computing device via the power line communication connection. The motor controller is additionally configured to transmit electric motor diagnostic data from the memory device to the server computing device via the power line communication connection. The motor controller is further configured to receive motor configuration data from a client computing device wirelessly coupled to the motor controller. The motor configuration data is for controlling the electric motor. The motor controller is also configured to operate the electric motor in accordance with the motor configuration data.

    • System, methods and apparatus are described that improve signaling in a three-wire multiphase communication link. A method for data communications includes determining a transition in signaling state of three wires of a communication link between a pair of consecutive symbols transmitted on the communication link, and enhancing or attenuating energy of a signal prior to the transition in signaling state of the three wires when the transition in signaling state includes a change in signaling state of a wire on which the signal is transmitted. Each symbol may define a different signaling state of the three wires of the communication link. For each symbol transmitted, two of the three wires are differentially encoded and the third wire is in a neutral state. Different wires are differentially encoded during transmission of consecutive symbols.

    • An apparatus (210) and method for supplying power to the peripheral circuits of a transmitter circuit, especially an HDMI transmitter circuit, is disclosed. In an HDMI transmitter (110) the termination resistors (120) of the output driver are part of the receiver. DC power for the driver is supplied through these termination resistors. In prior art implementations of circuits this power, supplied by the receiver circuit, is wasted in the DC set-up circuit of the differential line driver. It is suggested to use this wasted power from the remote termination (120) to power selected peripheral circuits of the transmitter. The use of this wasted power in the line driver for powering the peripheral circuits reduces the total system power.
