    • The present invention is a radiant heat deflector assembly for radiating heat on a surface, wherein the assembly includes; a radiant heat source radiating direct emissions, and at least one radiant heat deflector spaced from the heat source. The heat source is so positioned and configured to include radiating direct emissions onto the deflector, the deflector being so positioned, configured and sized as to reflect radiant emissions onto a surface thereby heating the surface. Preferably the heat source adapted to radiate useful direct emissions upwardly towards the deflector and downwardly toward the surface or onto a second deflector such that both direct emissions and reflected emissions heat the surface. Preferably the heat source including an emitter for producing direct radiant emissions and the emitter producing useful direct emissions from both a top surface and a bottom surface of the emitter such that both direct emissions and reflected emissions reach the surface.

    • A heating apparatus (10) is provided which is improved in terms of its heating efficiencies over prior commercially available patio heaters. The heating apparatus includes a burner assembly housing (24) containing a burner assembly (22) for igniting fuel from a fuel source. The housing has a perforated wall (28) so that the hot gases inside the housing can escape from the housing interior with the wall heating up so as to radiate infrared heat therefrom. The apparatus has a heat efficiency system (25) which causes substantially all of the heat emanating from the housing to be used for heating a preselected area about the apparatus. The heat efficiency system maximizes the amount of heat that is directed in a generally downward direction into the preselected area below the housing so as to minimize the heat loss and thus the amount of fuel that is necessary for heating the preselected area.

    • A heater with a solar energy lamp assembly for outdoor heating includes a base assembly (34), a hollow upstanding pole (18), an air mixing chamber (16) disposed on the hollow upstanding pole (18), an infrared housing (24), a reflex cover (23), a combustor assembly (25) and a combustion control device (29), which are disposed inside the infrared housing and extend downwardly, a solar receiver (21) disposed above the reflex cover (23), a lamp box (10) between the infrared cover (24) and the air mixing chamber (16), and a solar energy lamp assembly (27) disposed inside the lamp box (10). The solar receiver (21) is electrically connected with the solar energy lamp assembly (27) which is disposed inside the lamp box (10) by high heat-resistant lead wires (7). The solar energy lamp heater uses gas to make the infrared housing (24) be heated. Then the heat is reflected to the heating region by the reflex cover (23), and optical energy is converted into electric energy by the solar receiver (21), meanwhile the electric energy can be supplied to a power supply of the solar energy lamp assembly. Therefore the heater with a solar energy lamp assembly can be used for heating and lamp lighting.
