摘要： Solid state lighting systems using organic LEDs (OLEDs) are disclosed. Embodiments of the present invention provide a solid state lighting system (100, 200, 300) and a luminaire (400) wherein substantially white light is generated by a combination of an organic LED (OLED) (108, 208, 308) and another type of solid state emitter (104, 204, 304). The other type of solid state emitter (104, 204, 304) may be, for example, a conventional LED made from inorganic materials. The OLED (108, 208, 308) is positioned so that substantially white light is emitted from the lighting system (100, 200, 300) by mixing light from the two types of sources. In some embodiments, a dichroic mirror (314) can also be used at the opening of a mixing chamber (102, 202, 302) to prevent absorption of light from the OLED (108, 208, 308) back into the mixing chamber (102, 202, 302) or conventional LEDs within the mixing chamber (102, 202, 302).

摘要： Disclosed herein is an improved dental operatory lamp having an LED light source that directs light to a reflector that in turn reflects the light to illuminate a treatment area. In one embodiment, the lamp is adapted for efficient transfer of heat from the light source and into the environment. In another embodiment, the lamp is adapted to generate a predetermined pattern of light optimal for the treatment area. In other embodiments, the lamp includes structural features that enable the lamp to maintain optimum light intensity and/or temperature. Also, disclosed herein are unique reflector embodiments that intentionally provide a generally smooth surface, without facets, that reflect light at all visible and infrared wavelengths.

The luminescent device includes a LED module on which circuit patterns electrically connected with LEDs mounted on the LED module are extended to an insertion hole formed through the LED module, and a joint connector including connection leads electrically connected with the circuit patterns to supply external power, and separably fixed to the insertion hole. Thereby, power is supplied to the LED module through the joint connector without soldering, and the LED module is fixed to a holding panel through assembly, thus facilitating replacement and repair of components.
