    • A chiller tank system(10) for containment of chilled liquids comprises a first tank (20) and a second tank (30) position within the first tank (20). The first tank (20) is spaced apart from the second tank (30) so that insulation material (25) can be positioned between them. The second tank (30) defines a chamber (32) for receiving the liquid to be chilled. A straight-lined, chiller barrel (80) is positioned vertically within the chamber (32), the chiller barrel (80) defining a bore connected to a flexible, dual hose (60). The straight-lined chiller barrel (80) extends downward into the tank thereby evenly chilling the liquid to avoid thermal stratification that causes vaporization by creating warm spots within the liquid. A refrigeration unit (50) supplies inert refrigerant to the tank. The dual hose (60) circulates refrigerant between the refrigeration unit (50) and the chiller barrel (80).

    • The invention relates to a storage container (1) for cryogenic media (2), especially liquid hydrogen. Said storage container has an outer container (3), an inner container (4) and at least one extraction and filling line (6, 6'). According to the invention, at least one additional storage space (5, 5') for a medium is located in the storage container (1) and at least the extraction line (6, 6') is functionally connected to the additional storage space (5, 5'). A shield (12) which preferably at least partially surrounds the inner container (4) can be allocated to the additional storage space (5, 5') and be in thermal contact with the same. The additional storage space (5) can be configured in the form of a hollow chamber profile and can at least partially surround the inner container (4). The invention provides a means of significantly reducing the evaporation rates for storage containers (1) used for storing cryogenic media (2).
