    • There is provided a pipe joint comprising at least one connection end wherein the or each connection end comprises: a wall defining a receiving recess for receiving an end of a pipe length; a tapered locking recess formed in an internal surface of the wall and containing a correspondingly tapered locking element; a through hole in the wall which communicates with the tapered locking recess; and a fixing element rotatable within the through hole and formed with a foot portion. In a first unlocked rotational position of the fixing element the foot is at least partially retracted from the locking recess; and in a second locked rotational position of the fixing element the foot extends into the locking recess to urge the locking element between the tapered locking recess and a pipe located within the connection end.

    • A coupling (C1) for attachment to the end portion of a pipe (14, 14A) includes jaw members (60, 62) adapted to slide along an inner end taper (60A, 62A) in the coupling body so that linear movement of the jaw members toward the end of the inner end taper adjacent an end of the coupling body causes movement of the jaw members radially inwardly of the coupling body against the end portion of the pipe when received in the coupling body. The coupling may include a bell type gasket (1) to function as a spring and the spring action of the gasket may be augmented by installing a springy crib ring (R) around the gasket inside the coupling body.

    • The invention relates to interconnectable turbocharger components (10, 12), whose connecting zones (11, 11') coaxially overlap in an axial direction (14) and mesh with each other radially in a positive fit. Said components are secured by means of an approximately annular securing device (22). The connecting zones (11, 11') have peripheral grooves (18, 20) lying opposite each other. At least two securing elements (24) in the form of annular segments can be introduced into said grooves as the securing device (22). To provide an axial fixation, said elements engage simultaneously in the two peripheral grooves (18, 20). Displacement means (30), which allow a radial displacement, are assigned to the securing elements (24). The radial height of the first peripheral groove (18) in the first turbocharger component (10) is at least at great as the radial height of the securing elements (24).
