A lift platform (24) preferably made of subassemblies (52, 54, 56) of beams (48, 50) and braces (58, 60, 62, 64) is used in the method.

    • The present invention relates to a facility for manufacturing non-roadable buildings. The facility includes an enclosed area having a roof and a plurality of bays for positioning the non-roadable buildings therein, each of the plurality of bays is configured to have one non-roadable building positioned therein and being at least partially enclosed and separated from each other of the plurality of bays.     • A construction method for forming a structure from a compressible material, such as straw bales. The compressible material (13) is placed upon a support means (11). A top member (10) extends along the length of the compressible material and is forced towards support means (11) as tensioning lines (12) between top member (10) and support means (11) are tensioned by tensioning devices (16). The lines (12) preferably taper from the base of the support means (11) to the top member (10). This provides stability and isolates the outside faces of the structure from the load, which is transmitted through the central region of the structure.
