    • A swivel connection (34) is connected for quick attachment bracket (24) equipped excavator booms (14, 76). The swivel connection (34) has a frame (35) that mounts onto a quick attachment bracket (24) on an excavator or backhoe boom (14, 16), and the frame (35) pivotally mounts a second attachment bracket (68) about a swivel axis (71). The second attachment bracket (68) is adapted to fit into a frame (90) on an implement (20) that also is connectable to the bracket (24) on the boom (14, 16). An implement (20) attached to the second attachment bracket (68) this can be pivoted relative to the frame (35) of the swivel connection (34). A linear hydraulic actuator (62) is used for controlling the pivoting movement of the second bracket (68) relative to the frame (35).

    • A mounting system for mounting an implement (12) to a boom assembly (14) forming part of a construction vehicle, such as an excavator, pedestal boom, and backhoe. A pair of spaced apart side plates (44, 46) include aligned apertures (50) for receiving adapter plugs (54) sized to be received within the apertures (50) and for resisting relative rotation therebetween. Each adapter (54) includes a transverse vore (70) which is sized to receive a first pin member (30), such that each transverse bore (70) of an associated pair of adapter plugs (54) defines the pin diameter that will be accepted, as well as partially defining the distance between a first pin member (30) and a second pin member (38). Each adapter plug (54) defines a flange portion (55) having a surface abuttably engaging a side surface (44a, 46a) of its associated side plate (44, 46). The flange portions (55) of an associated pair of adapter plugs (54) define thrust surfaces (57) for a boom member (14) coupled to a pin (30, 38) carried by the adapter plugs (54). The thrust surface (57) may be machinable to adjust the lateral spacing between an associated pair of adapter plugs (54). Keeper bolts (67) extend through transverse bores (90) formed in the adapter plugs (54) which are alignable with a transverse bore (92) near a distal end of the associated pin (30, 38). The adapter plugs (54) may be formed from cast components or fabricated using weldments.
