    • The invention refers to a catalytic additive to hydrocarbon liquid fuels, providing refinement and improvement of the quality of liquid fuels, in particular of residual marine, heating and diesel fuels and finds application in oil processing and oil chemistry. The catalytic additive for liquid hydrocarbon fuels comprises aromatic and/or aliphatic CH, terpene hydrocarbons, bacterial culture of the Nocardia globerula species and a catalyst. The quantities of compounds participating in the catalytic additive in % w/w are, respectively: aromatic and/or aliphatic CH from 50% to 99.49%, terpene CH from 1% to 50%, bacterial culture Nocardia globerula in the form of dry or liquid concentrate from 0.001% to 0.01%, guaranteeing content of viable cells in the additive from 10 24 to 10 28 and a catalyst from 0.005% to 0.01%. The catalytic additive according to the invention is intended for addition to liquid CH fuel, the so-called market (commodity) product, at a ratio of 3:1000 to 6:1000 parts by weight.The biocatalytic additive according to this invention ensures high combustion efficiency when added to liquid CH fuels such as residual marine fuel, heating oil and diesel fuel intended for engines and combustion installations. Another important advantage of the additive is that the microorganisms of the Nocardia globerula species involved in it have been selected so as to secure the required biological adaptability, higher biosynthetic ability and productivity, and they ensure also a wide substrate specificity of components participating in the additive, which gives the additive high catalytic activity and improved performance, including high chemical and physical stability which, if put in liquid fuels; improves the quality of the commercial product that complies with the current global / European quality requirements for liquid fuels, which consequently leads to serious economies of fuel resulting in great ecological benefits.
