摘要： Embodiments of a sensor system for acoustic detection in a dispensing system of a container having a rim and content includes at least one controller coupled to the dispensing system for selectively triggering on and off the dispensing system; an ultrasound position sensor coupled to the at least one controller a) for emitting a first ultrasound beam towards a container- receiving location, b) for receiving ultrasound echoes indicative of a position of the container relative to a dispenser outlet, and c) for sending a first signal to the at least one controller indicative of the container position relative to the dispenser outlet; and an ultrasound fill sensor couple to the at least one controller i) for emitting a second ultrasound beam towards the container- receiving location, ii) for receiving ultrasound echoes indicative of the rim and content surface, and iii) for sending to the at least one controller a second signal indicative of the position of the content surface relative to the rim. In operation, the dispensing system is triggered on by the at least one controller when the first and second signals respond to respective first and second criteria and is triggered off when at least one of the first and second signals does not respond to the respective first and second criteria.

摘要： An apparatus, system and method for recharging depleted tennis balls that uses pressurized gas is disclosed. A pressure vessel includes a cylindrical shell with a closed end and a spaced apart and opening top connected by a wall to form a charging chamber. The vessel may be pivotally secured to a base. A port in the outer wall, closed end, or top of the vessel permits gas entry and exit for charging. The chamber is filled with an appropriate number of discharged tennis balls and then is sealed and charged with high pressure gas having a molecular weight heavier than air. The chamber is monitored to determine when the tennis balls have reached a desired internal pressure. Once the balls reach the desired internal pressure they are removed.

摘要： A beverage mixing and dispensing valve, or a beverage dispenser including the valve, includes and automatic shut-off features. A user presses a cup or container against a lever (14) on a soft-drink dispenser. The lever closes a switch to activate the opening of a solenoid-operated valve (10). At the same time, a detection circuit is monitored to determine whether overflow of drink or foam has occurred. When drink or foam overflows and bridges a gap between two metal conductors (72) on the lever, resistance is lowered and electricity flows in the detection circuit. The valve then automatically shuts off the flow of beverage. Energy is saved in keeping the valve open using a pulse width modulation (PWM) technique for voltage to the solenoid, rather than using a steady-state voltage.

摘要： A dispensing method and apparatus is provided to detect the presence of a container and determine the relative size of the detected container and automatically dispense a product into the detected container while monitoring the fill level of the product in the container. Dispensing is automatically discontinued when the fill level nears the top of the container. The present system also provides a timed delay to allow settling of the dispensed product and thereafter dispensed to top-off the product in the container.
