    • The invention refers to a compensation device (36) of a traction sheave elevator (10), which elevator comprises a compensation rope (32) running from an elevator car (28) to a compensation sheave (34) of the compensation device located in the lowermost part of the elevator shaft around which the compensation rope (32) runs, whereby the compensation sheave is vertically guided with respect to the shaft bottom (20) via a guiding structure which allows a vertical movement of the axis (50) of the compensation sheave (34), characterized in that the guiding structure comprises at least one scissor joint arrangement (36) having its lower end (42) adapted to be connected with an elevator shaft bottom (20) and its upper end (48) being connected with the compensation sheave axis (50). The invention also refers to an elevator comprising such kind of compensation device. The invention allows the vertical movement of the axis of a compensation sheave with a very low shaft height requirement.

    • A mobile loader (10) of the type used for loading and unloading the cargo holds of aircraft. The loader operates by electric motors driving both traction means and loading platform elevation.
