The food container has a bottom and a wall extending from the bottom that defines a food container footprint. The tray has a tray bottom and walls that define a tray footprint that complements the food container footprint such that the food container can securely nest in the tray. The tray and lid can detachably couple to each other. In other embodiments, the system need not have a separate food container.

The port(34) includes an elastomeric seal to form a fluid-tight interface when the cover (36) is closed. The peripheral sidewall (30) includes a ramp like projection (60) to enable the user to apply upward pressure thereto to facilitate the removal of the lid assembly (120, 20) from the vessel (22A, 22B, 22). The vent is configured to enable steam (12) within the vessel (22A, 22B, 22) to exit the ambient atmosphere to thereby reduce the build-up of pressure within the vessel (22A, 22B, 22), which could result in hot liquid sputtering out of the port (34) when the slidable cover (34, 36) is opened.

The brewing container and lid includes a container, a lid attachable to the container, and a brewing bag. The container has V-like shaped base, and an upper edge defining an opened end. The cup is configured to receive the brewing bag allowing a liquid in the container too steep with a brewing material in the brewing bag. The V-like shaped base enables the container and the lid attached thereto to be placed in at least two separate standing positions being a brewing position when the container is standing on one of first and second angled sides, and a non-brewing position.
