    • A clamping device (10) has a fixed jaw (12), a movable jaw (11) formed at one end of an operating lever (15) and two elastic units (30, 32) aligned and compressed along the operating lever (15). The elastic units, through the reaction of connecting rods (23), generate a force which rotates the operating lever upwards, causing the movable jaw (11) to clamp a cable (F) against the fixed jaw (12). An intermediate plate (35) is arranged between the two elastic units and has a portion (36) protruding outwardly beyond the elastic units (30, 32) in a direction transverse to the operating lever (15). The position of the protruding portion (36) provides a clear indication of the efficiency of the clamp.

    • The invention relates to a clamping device for elongated bodies (4) comprising a tubular sleeve (1) having a cap (2) with a cylindrical hole (3) for receiving said body, at each of its ends. The sleeve surrounds an elongated and toroidal pressure body (6) filled with a liquid or gaseous pressure medium and submitted to a pressure. The pressure body (6) comprises, for example, two concentric flexible tubes (5) having their ends connected to one another, and is connected to the pressure medium control system by means of a valve (7). When the pressure body (6) is submitted to a pressure, its walls are compressed both outwardly against the sleeve (1) and inwardly against the elongated body (4). The clamping action is thus applied uniformly on the whole surface of the body (4) located within the sleeve (1).
