    • The present technology relates generally to seat-mounted supports for personal electronic devices ("PEDs"), and associated systems and methods. Particular embodiments are directed to tablet or smartphone supports for mounting on an airplane seat. In some embodiments, a support system for restraining a PED includes a first panel configured for attachment to an airplane seat and a second panel having at least one restraining feature configured to restrain the PED against the second panel. The system further includes an intermediate portion pivotably connecting the first panel to the second panel. The system can include complementary engagement features on the first and second panels to adjust the angle of the first panel relative to the second panel. For example, in some embodiments, the first panel can pivot between a first position parallel to the second panel and a second position non-parallel to the second panel.
