摘要： In one embodiment, a secure substrate provides a print-ready surface for printing scratch- off products and eliminates the need to print lower security layers for protecting against attempts to view hidden indicia information. In one embodiment, a secure substrate comprises applying microperforations to a dyed substrate that meets a predefined transmission optical density to resist an attempt to reduce the opacity of the dyed substrate by delamination. In another embodiment, a secure substrate comprises applying a lower opacity layer and a lower background layer on a substrate to provide a secure substrate that meets a predefined transmission optical density. In another embodiment, a secure substrate comprises applying a lower opacity layer on a substrate, applying a reflective coating, and applying a lower background layer over the reflective coating to provide a secure substrate that meets a predefined transmission optical density.

摘要： The problem to be solved is to provide a scratch-able printed matter on a printable material without use of elastomers and the problem is solved by a method of providing a scratch-able printed matter on a printable material having a substrate bearing a first printed matter, comprising the steps of providing said first printed matter on said substrate; covering said first matter with a first layer, wherein said first layer comprises at least one layer of release varnish; applying a second layer to said first layer; wherein said second layer comprises at least one layer of any one of ink, varnish or coating or a combination thereof; applying a third layer over said second layer to conceal said first printed matter, wherein said third layer comprises at least one layer of any one of ink, foil or OVD or a combination thereof; and applying a fourth layer of graphic design on said third layer, wherein said fourth layer comprises of an image or a line work or a combination thereof; whereby on application of said four layers to said printable material, a scratch-able printed matter is produced and when a user scratches said scratch-able printer matter, said first printed matter at the substrate becomes visible to the user.

摘要： An optical security label for security and anti-counterfeit applications comprises a first layer having an optically variable portion (diffractive, holographic or interference film) generating an optically variable effect secured to a support layer by a weak adhesive layer such that the first layer can be scratched off the third support layer to reveal underlying data and the label is affixed a substrate by a pressure sensitive adhesive. The label or substrate carry the data to be protected such a printed or personalised paper or plastic substrate. In one aspect the scratch off region is patterned and also the data can comprise a pattern of alternate scratch off and permanent areas. In one aspect the label is a thin frangible structure delivered to the substrate with a weakly bound top carrier. In another aspect the optical variable device includes a covert image authenticated by a decoder carried on the top of the removable carrier. In one aspect the pressure sensitive adhesive is a curable adhesive to provide a permanent bond.
