    • The present invention provides for a spring compactor machine to compact springs, comprising: a force applied at an angle substantially between 35 degrees and 155 degrees to an at rest spring's restoring force axis with an equal and opposite restraining force applied substantially between 215 and 325 degrees to the spring's restoring force axis. Wherein when both the applied force and the restraining force substantially exceed the plastic limit of the spring, the spring is deformed and the restoring force of the spring no longer returns the spring to its original shape. In a preferred aspect of the present invention, the forces are applied to the spring inside at least one compaction chamber. In a preferred aspect of the present invention, prior to compaction of the spring all non-metal material attached to the spring or a set of springs is removed. In a preferred aspect of the present invention, manufactured supports attached to and holding the springs together are modified via deformation and/or cutting prior to compaction. In a preferred aspect of the present invention, a post compaction folding and re-compaction chamber is provided to assure optimal final volumetric dimensions and/or unit weights of the compacted spring.

The apparatus further includes a second pressure ram for driving the first door about the respective pivotable mounting thereof, so as to compact the compressible material into the baling chamber; and a third pressure ram (12) for driving the second door about the respective pivotable mounting thereof, so as to further compact the material into the baling chamber.

    • A super compactor receives a carbon-containing material and delivers a brick suitable as fuel for power generation. A compaction chamber receives the carbon- containing material and has at least one ram reciprocating along a travel path and exerting a predetermined amount of pressure on the carbon-containing material. The compaction chamber also has an end effector plate or a movable slide gate against which the carbon-containing material is compressed, promoting the removal of moisture from the carbon-containing material, and one or more dewatering apertures or a membrane permitting moisture to pass through but blocking the carbon- containing material. A collector captures the moisture that passes through the dewatering apertures or membrane. A power unit provides power to the at least one ram. A heated extrusion chamber receives the carbon-containing material from the compaction chamber and heats and compacts the carbon-containing material to bind the carbon-containing material into the form of a brick.

    • A portable car crusher is formed from a lower base table, with a central pivot supported at each end by a pillar, upon which a lever arm is mounted. Each lever arm is attached at one end of a hydraulic cylinder, and at the other to a link. This link connects with the pressure pad. The other end of the hydraulic cylinder is attached to a compression block which can be retained by clamps. By sequential operation of the hydraulic cylinders and retaining clamps, the pressure pads can be brought to bear upon the vehicle shell in stages, until complete compression is achieved. The portable car crusher is provided with a means whereby the lever arms are capable, together with the hydraulic cylinders of retaining a set of wheels to render the unit mobile.
