摘要： Provided herein are metal organic framework/polymer mixed-matrix hollow fiber membranes and metal organic framework/carbon molecular sieve mixed-matrix hollow fiber membranes. The materials have high MOF particle loading and are easily scalable. The MOF/polymer mixed-matrix hollow fibers are formed using a dry-jet/wet-quench fiber spinning technique and show C 3 H 6 /C 3 H 8 selectivity that is significantly enhanced over the pure polymer fiber and that is consistent with the selectivity of mixed-matrix dense films of the same MOF/polymer combination. The MOF/CMS mixed-matrix hollow fibers are formed by pyrolyzing the MOF/polymer mixed-matrix hollow fibers and show increased C 3 H 6 permeance and increased selectivity over the MOF/polymer mixed-matrix hollow fiber membranes.

The seal has a thrust surface which is angled relative to the sealing surface and is located at an opposite axial end of the seal from the sealing surface. The annular spring exerts radial forces against the thrust surface of the seal to bias the seal in an axial direction against the slide plate. Pressurized polymer in the extrusion bore further biases the seal against the slide plate.

摘要： A polymer filtration apparatus for sealing a slide plate translatable across a bore of an extrusion or mold machine, includes an annular seal having a sealing surface biased against the slide plate by a spring mechanism. The annular seal has a thrust surface angled relative to the sealing surface. The thrust surface is located at an opposite axial end of the annular seal from the sealing surface. The spring mechanism can be a single spring with overlapping tangs or a multiple spring assembly in overlapping relationship, with or without tangs, to form a continuous barrier. The spring assembly exerts a radial force against the thrust surface of the annular seal to bias the seal in an axial direction against the downstream slide plate. In operation, pressurized polymer melt in the extrusion bore further biases the spring against the annular seal, which is transferred to the seal and the slide plate.

The invention is characterised in that the strainer support body (4) and the guide device are arranged so that a gap is formed between them, and in that a divider (8) is provided which ensures that said gap between the guide device and the strainer support body does not close at any point during filtration, so that fluid can flow out through the gap during filtration.
