    • Die Erfindung betrifft eine Kokille (2) zum Stranggiessen von Stahl und ähnlichen Werkstoffen mit mehreren umfänglich verteilt angeordneten Aktuatoren (5a bis 5d), die quer zur Kokillenlängsachse gerichtete Schwingungen erzeugen und phasenmässig so aufeinander abgestimmt sind, dass die Schwingungen wellenlinienförmig von oben nach unten an der Innenwand der Kokille (2) entlangwandern. Die quergerichteten Schwingungen bewirken eine Minimierung der Reibung zwischen dem Strang und der Kokille, und erzeugen zudem eine nach unten gerichtete Verschiebekraft an der Schalenwandung des Strangs. Dadurch wird der Transport des Stranges innerhalb der Kokille (2) aktiviert und damit der Giessprozess erheblich unterstützt und folglich verbessert.
