    • A self-cleaning filtration media for use in hydrocarbon fluid filtration applications has a first layer on an upstream side and a second layer on downstream side of the self-cleaning filtration media. The first layer is composed of polyethersulfone nanofibers having a diameter of 50-1000 nm (0.05-1 micron) and a basis weight of at least 1 gsm. The second layer is a nonwoven substrate suitable for filtration applications. The self- cleaning filtration media exhibits a dust holding capacity of at least 6 mg/cm 2 and a filtration efficiency of greater than 90% for 4 micron particles when the self-cleaning filtration media is tested according to ISO 19438 for fuel filtration and according to ISO 4548-12 for oil filtration. When the second layer includes glass fibers, the self-cleaning filtration media has a dust holding capacity of at least 10 mg/cm 2 and a filtration efficiency of greater than 99% for 4 micron particles when the self-cleaning filtration media is tested according to ISO 19438 for fuel filtration and according to ISO 4548-12 for oil filtration. The self-cleaning filtration media also has a fuel-water separation efficiency of at least 99% when a flat sheet is tested according to ISO 16332; and a lifetime of at least 90 minutes when tested with fuel and oil according to ISO 19438 and ISO 4548-12 using Medium Test Dust and a pressure drop of 70 kPa.

    • A HEPA filtration media comprises a central layer and at each side of the central layer one or more further layers. The media comprises with respect to the central layer a symmetrical layer built-up over the thickness dimension of the filtration media. The central layer of the media comprises a nonwoven web comprising stainless steel fibers of average equivalent diameter less than 2 μm. The central layer has a specific weight between 750 and 1200 g/m 2 . The media comprises at both sides of the central layer a first further layer in direct contact with the central layer. Each of the two first further layers comprises a nonwoven web comprising stainless steel fibers of average equivalent diameter between 3 μm and 8 μm.

    • A filter membrane has at its flow in side a first metal fibre web. It has at least two metal fibre layers, a fine and at least one coarser fibre layer. The fine fibre layer is located at the flow in side of the filter membrane and the at least one coarser fibre layer is located downstream of the fine fibre layer. The filter membrane is comprising at its flow out side, a stack of one or more first two-dimensional metal structures with constant and regular openings. The filter membrane is comprising at least one set formed by a second metal fibre web and a stack of one or more second two-dimensional metal structure with constant and regular openings; the at least one set is provided in between the stack of one or more two-dimensional metal structures that are having constant and regular openings, and the first metal fibre web. One of the stacks of one or more second two-dimensional metal structure with constant and regular openings is in direct contact with the first metal fibre web, at the side of the at least one coarser fibre layer. The one or more first two-dimensional metal structures, the first metal fibre web, and the at least one set of second metal fibre web and one or more second two-dimensional metal structures; are all connected to each other by means of metallic bonds.
