    • A system includes software for customization of one or more game boards or elements, and/or for educational game play. An example embodiment includes a plurality of polygonal game-board segments, which can be assembled into a game-board, where each game-board segment presents spots upon which a player may "land." The spots for each game-board segment may be logically connected to form a path of the game. Additional accessories may include: player pieces, a timer token, game cards, game metric identifiers (e.g., points, money, etc.), and a randomized movement indicator (e.g., dice). The software may be used for selection of educational categories, sub-categories, and elements for construction of game segments of the game -board, and may also be used for constructing, administrating, grading, and storing results of quizzes (which may be used for construction and/or playing of the game using the game board) and a played game, and/or for otherwise facilitating game play.

    • A system and method for remote players to select the numbers on a bingo card and to have this card played in a local Do-It-Yourself bingo game. Remote players wishing to play use a telephone to select the numbers on a game card that is entered into a remotely located bingo game. This entry process also acquires the players identification information. Billing is provided by a '900' number billing service or by charging a player's credit card account. A computer system plays the randomly selected balls against all the entered game cards, and determines the winners. No game cards are manufactured or distributed as the players create their own cards. Local and remote players are assured that the game is legitimately played as all the remote players' cards are printed out at the game site and stored in lock boxes similarly to the local players' cards as proof of the bingo numbers selected and payment made for game entry.

A printer (15) and a card stock store (16) are mounted on an undersurface of the table adjacent the dealing station and the card delivery means includes a card delivery slot (21) extending through the table to the playing area.

    • A system including a deck of playing cards. A randomly generated number is printed on each playing card in the deck. An activation device is also provided, which contains a data file of each randomly generated number of the playing cards in the deck, and the order of each playing card in the deck. A playing card dealing shoe is also provided. The shoe includes a sensor for detecting the randomly generated number on a playing card as the playing card is drawn from the shoe. The shoe is associated with a processor, which is in communication with the sensor and the activation device to receive information therefrom. The processor determines whether a playing card drawn from the shoe is expected based on the information from the sensor and the activation device, and disables the shoe when the drawn playing card is not the expected playing card.
