    • Method of fastening a second object (2) to a fiber composite part (1) comprising a structure of fibers embedded in a matrix material is provided, the method comprising: - providing the fiber composite part comprising an attachment surface, with a portion of the structure of fibers being exposed at the attachment surface; - providing the second object; - placing the second object relative to the fiber composite part, with a resin (3) in a flowable state between the attachment surface and the connector; - pressing the second object and the fiber composite part against each other and causing mechanical vibration to act on the second object or the fiber composite part or both, thereby causing the resin to infiltrate the exposed structure of fibers and activating the resin to cross-link; - whereby the resin, after cross-linking, secures the second object to the fiber composite part.

    • Elements (5) such as dental fillings, inlays, dental veneers, root pins, implants to be implanted in bone tissue, or endoprostheses are affixed to surfaces (3) of dentine, tooth enamel, bone tissue, or a corresponding substitute material, by providing the element with element surfaces (6) comprising a first thermoplastic material, by equipping the surfaces (3) of dentine, tooth enamel, bone tissue, or a corresponding substitute material in a preparatory step in such a way that they become weldable with the first thermoplastic material, and by welding the element surfaces (6) to the pretreated surfaces (3) by e.g. exciting the appropriately positioned element (5) with mechanical vibrations. The pre-treatment of the surfaces (3) in the preparatory step is achieved by attaching solid bodies (2) comprising a second thermoplastic material to said surfaces (3), with the aid of a curable compound (generally known for preparatory treatment of dentine or enamel surfaces) or with the aid of a cement. Therein the first and second thermoplastic materials are selected to be capable of being welded together. The solid bodies (2) are particles, fibers, or they are combined in a flat item. The resulting fixation is based on a fusion of the element surfaces (6) and the solid bodies (2).
