摘要： A removable case for an electronic device may have an acoustic isolation mechanism between the removable case and an acoustic component on the electronic device. The acoustic isolation mechanism may be a compressible component that may provide an acoustic seal between an inner surface of the removable case and an exterior surface of the electronic device, and may include a waterproof acoustic membrane. The waterproof membrane prevents the entry of water while reacting to sound pressure changes to acoustically couple the electronic device with sounds outside the case. The acoustic isolation mechanism may be constructed of several different materials and several different manufacturing processes.

摘要： A grip system comprises a protective case and a grip apparatus. The grip apparatus is removably attachable to a back surface of the protective case. The grip apparatus includes a base, two flexible strips or straps, and a cap. The base is configured to be removably inserted into the recess in the back of the protective case. The two flexible strips are each attached to the base. The cap is proximate a top surface of the base when in a stowed position and extendable away from the top surface of the base when the cap is pulled outward to an extended position. Each flexible strip is configured or adapted to slide within a slot or channel in the cap. Each flexible strip slides into the slot when the grip apparatus is transitioned to the stowed position and slides out of the slot when transitioned to the extended position.

Electronic component assemblies described include electronic components, a cable, and a housing configured to house the electronic components. The housing also includes a cable aperture through which the cable extends, and a compression backstop extending into the interior of the housing. The electronic assembly may also include a gasket holder. The assembly also includes a gasket surrounding the cable, a compression wedge at least partially surrounding the circumference of the cable, and a crimp bead positioned proximate the compression backstop.

摘要： A rechargeable battery pack system includes a retention cage, a reserve power module, and a rechargeable battery pack. The retention cage is removably attachable over a battery compartment of a game controller. The reserve power module has first electrical contacts that contact battery contacts of the game controller for providing electrical power from the reserve power module to the game controller when the reserve power module is in the retention cage and the retention cage is attached to the game controller. The rechargeable battery pack has electrical contacts to contact second electrical contacts of the reserve power module for providing electrical power to the reserve power module and to the game controller, through the reserve power module. The reserve power module can uninterruptedly power the game controller when the depleted rechargeable battery pack is removed from the retention cage to be replaced by a charged rechargeable battery pack.

The structural member and cushioning member are overmolded to cover the installed electronic device. The flexible member has a first panel connected to the back portion of the structural member and a second panel connected to the first panel by a hinge section. The second panel of the flexible member has a magnet that is configured to connect with a metallic tab that is adhered to the side of the structural member. The metallic tab is configured to allow the first panel of the flexible member to connect with the metallic tab in a closed position that covers the touchscreen of the electronic device and in an open position when the first panel of the flexible member is folded away from the touchscreen and covering the back of the protective case.
