摘要： A method is provided for detecting a fault in a gear system for repositioning a seat assembly in an automotive vehicle. The gear system includes a gear train operatively coupled to a motor. The method includes the steps of measuring a current drawn by the motor to reposition the seat assembly, recording the current over time as a current waveform, converting the current waveform into a frequency domain, determining a base frequency of the current waveform based on the converted current waveform, calculating a power spectrum density at the base frequency, calculating a total band power of the power spectrum density, and determining whether the total band power is greater than a predetermined total band power threshold.

摘要： A deployable leg support for a vehicle seat includes an inner rail slidably coupled to an outer rail and a support platform rotationally coupled to the inner rail. The support platform is fixedly coupled to a front link. The rear link is rotatably coupled to the inner rail and slidably coupled to the front link. The rear link includes a locking hook configured to matingly engage with a lock pin fixedly coupled to the outer rail. When the inner link is transposed along the outer link towards an extended position, the locking hook matingly engages with the lock pin, rotates the rear link upward, and causes the rear link to slide along the front link which tilts the support platform towards the deployed position.

摘要： A long rail assembly for use in a vehicle includes a fixed rail, a movable rail, a power strip, a latch power connector, and a channel power connector. The fixed rail extends longitudinally along a floor of the vehicle. The movable rail is slidably coupled to the fixed rail. The power strip is coupled to the fixed rail. The latch power connector is removably coupled to the movable rail. The channel power connector is fixedly coupled to the movable rail and is in constant sliding contact with the power strip. When the latch power connector is coupled to the movable rail, the latch power connector frictionally engages the channel power connector thereby generating an electrical bridge between the power strip and the latch power connector to provide power to the long rail assembly.

摘要： A long rail assembly for use in an automotive vehicle has a long rail, a power rail drive assembly, and a latch assembly. The latch assembly removably couples the vehicle seat to the power rail drive assembly. When the latch assembly is latched, the seat is capable of power sliding adjustment and can be moved along a channel axis to a desired position within the interior of the vehicle. When the latch assembly is unlatched, the entire seat can be removed from the vehicle to provide for added space and variability in the vehicle interior configuration.

摘要： A method of welding a first piece to a second piece by laser welding is disclosed. The first piece includes a central portion between two outer portions. The method comprises the step of placing the first piece adjacent the second piece, where the central portion of the first piece is a distance from the second piece, and the outer portions of the first piece are flush with the second piece. The method also comprises the step of applying a laser beam to the central portion toward the second piece.
