摘要： A gel composition is herein disclosed. According to one embodiment, the composition comprises a (i) a styrenic block copolymer, (ii) an oil; and (iii) optional additives; wherein the styrenic block copolymer comprises: a diblock polymer having a monoalkenyl arene block, designated A, a conjugated diene block, designated B, an isoprene attachment, designated i, and wherein the styrenic block copolymer can have structure ABi or iAB; the isoprene attachment i is substantially unsaturated and the conjugated diene block B is substantially saturated. The gel composition before curing exhibits thixotropic behavior, and the gel composition after curing is either elastic solid or has a viscosity at 25 °C at a shear rate of 20 s -1 of at least 30000 mPa.s.

The block copolymer may have a microstructure characterized by a vinyl content of equal to or greater than about 60%. The block copolymer may be a styrenic block copolymer. The polyolefin may include a polypropylene. Additional additives may be optionally added to the composition depending on the end-use application. The compositions may find utility in the preparation of various articles such as medical products including sterilized tubing, bags, and the like, films and injection molded articles.

摘要： Provided herein is a composition containing a hydrogenated blend of a semi-crystalline, selectively hydrogenated block copolymer, a selectively diblock copolymers lacking semi-crystalline blocks, and a low polarity fluid for cable filling applications. The block copolymer comprises blocks of semi-crystalline hydrogenated polybutadiene, blocks of poly(mono alkenyl arenes), and blocks of hydrogenated, non-crystalline conjugated dienes. The diblock copolymer comprises blocks of poly(mono alkenyl arenes) and blocks of non-crystalline poly(conjugated diene(s)). The compositions can be converted to non-flowable gels and find application as fillers for cables such as fiber optic cables.

摘要： A process is provided for preparing a coupled polymer by anionic polymerization wherein the coupled polymer is a conjugated diene polymer comprising the following reaction steps: a) polymerizing a monomer or a mixture of monomers comprising at least one conjugated diene optionally one or more monoalkenyl arene compounds in the presence of an anionic initiator to form a living polymer arm or mixture of arms, with an average apparent molecular weight greater than 2000; b) reacting the living polymer arm or arms (P) with a polyalkenyl coupling agent (CA), c) terminating the polymerization if any living polymers remain after step b), and d) optionally functionalizing and/or hydrogenating the coupled polymer so produced, wherein the polyalkenyl coupling agent is an alpha,omega-bis(vinylphenyl)alkane. Also provided is the polymer so prepared and its use in concentrates, aqueous emulsions and products made from aqueous emulsions.

摘要： Sulfonated block copolymers (SBCs) are coagulated from SBC solutions in one or more organic solvents, including reaction mixtures obtained in the sulfonation process, by a process in which the SBC solution is ejected into or onto water provided that no steam is added to the SBC solution prior to ejection and provided that the ejection velocity as well as the water temperature and convection are controlled and balanced. The coagulation process is easy to implement and avoids or at least diminishes problems due to foaming and the formation of micro dispersions of the SBC which cannot be separated successfully or easily by conventional filtration or centrifuging.
