摘要： A stripping device and method for removing a scrap portion from a cut-out section of a sheet of material. The stripping device can be used in combination with a corresponding jig assembly, and includes a first component being fixedly mountable onto a given jig of the jig assembly. The stripping device also includes a second component being slidably moveable with respect to the first component so as to be displaceable along a rectilinear path, the second component being operable between opposite draw-in and drawn-out positions, and being spring-loaded so as to be biased towards the drawn-out position. The stripping device also includes at least one stripping component being rotatably mountable about a distal end of the second component, and having at least one stripping surface being positioned, shaped and sized for stripping-off the scrap portion from the cut-out section of the sheet of material in combination with a stripping pin of the jig assembly as the stripping pin passes through the cut-out section of the sheet of material to be stripped off.
