    • A solenoid operated liquid spray device (11) includes a flow control module disposed within the solenoid coil (28) of the device for controlling the direction of pressurized flow. The flow control module includes separate inlet and outlet portions (91, 90) easily disassembled for on line service without necessity for disconnecting fluid supply and electric power lines. The outlet portion (90) is secured to the inlet portion (91) by an adjustable retainer which is selectively positionable for adjusting the operating stroke of the valve plunger (19) without the necessity for damaging relative rotational movement between the valve plunger needle (20) and the valve seat (50). The module portions further define a flow passageway communicating between a liquid inlet and discharge nozzle and a return passageway (105) communicating with a heated liquid supply for enabling liquid in the spray device (11) to be maintained at an optimum heated temperature when a spraying operation is interrupted.
