    • Foot support systems include a fluid flow control system that facilitates movement of fluid into, out of, and/or within a sole structure and/or article of footwear, e.g., to change and/or control pressure in fluid filled bladder(s). Such foot support systems (1000) may include a first foot support bladder (200A), a fluid tank (400), and a fluid distributor (720). The fluid distributor (720) may include a distributor body that has: (a) a first solenoid mount (710A), (b) a second solenoid mount (710B), (c) a main fluid distribution channel (714A, 4920) in fluid communication with the first solenoid mount (710A) and in fluid communication with the second solenoid mount (710B), (d) a tank channel (714B, 716B) in fluid communication with the first solenoid mount (710A), (e) a first foot support bladder channel (714C, 716C) in fluid communication with the second solenoid mount (710B), (f) a first foot support connector (730D) connecting the first foot support bladder (200A) with the first foot support bladder channel (714C, 716C), and (g) a tank connector (730C) connecting the fluid tank (400) with the tank channel (714B, 716B). A first solenoid (4900A) is engaged with the fluid distributor (720) at the first solenoid mount (710A), and a second solenoid (4900B) is engaged with the fluid distributor (720) at the second solenoid mount (710B). In some examples, the fluid distributor (720) further may include: (a) a fluid source connector (730B) that receives fluid from a fluid source (e.g., pump (500)) and supplies the fluid to the main fluid distribution channel (714A, 4920) and (b) a connector (730A) that receives fluid from the external environment and directs it to the pump (500). Additionally or alternatively, in some examples, the fluid distributor (720) may include a third solenoid mount (710C) and a second foot support connector (730E) that direct fluid to and receive fluid from a second foot support bladder (200B).

    • Foot support system for articles of footwear (100) include a fluid transfer system (900) to selectively inflate and deflate a foot support bladder (200). Such fluid transfer systems (900) may include a movable valve to supply fluid to and/or remove fluid from the foot support bladder (200). A transmission (922) moves the valve to different positions (e.g., different rotational positions). Such transmissions (922) include: (a) a motor pinion (928); and (b) a first intermediate gear cluster (928B) including: (i) a first axial pin (928D), (ii) a first gear (928A) having a first central axis coaxial with the first axial pin (928D) and engaging the motor pinion (928), the first gear (928A) having a first diameter, and (iii) a second gear (928C) having a second central axis coaxial with the first axial pin (928D), the second gear (928C) having a second diameter different from the first diameter. The first intermediate gear cluster (928B) engages a second intermediate gear cluster (928F) that includes: (i) a second axial pin (928G) (ii) a third gear (928E) having a third central axis coaxial with the second axial pin (928G) and engaging the second gear (928C), the third gear (928E) having a third diameter, and (iii) a fourth gear (928H) having a fourth central axis coaxial with the second axial pin (928G), the fourth gear (928H) having a fourth diameter different from the third diameter. The transmission (922) further includes a third axial pin (928L) coaxial with a fifth gear (9281) that engages the fourth gear (928H). The central axis of the fifth gear (9281) is coaxial with a rotational axis of an output of the transmission (922).

    • Foot support systems include a fluid flow control system that facilitates movement of fluid into, out of, and/or within a sole structure and/or article of footwear, e.g., to change and/or control pressure in fluid filled bladder(s). Aspects of this technology relate to fluid flow control systems that include: (a) a first solenoid (4900A) having a first port (4910A), a second port, (4910B) and a third port (4910C); (b) a second solenoid (4900B) including a first port (4912A) and a second port (4912B); (c) a fluid line (4920) in fluid communication with the first port (4910A, 4912A) of each of the first solenoid (4900A) and the second solenoid (4900B); and (d) a manifold (800). The manifold (800) includes: (a) a first manifold port (804, 800B) in fluid communication with the second port (4910B) of the first solenoid (4900A), (b) a second manifold port (814, 800D) in fluid communication with the third port (4910C) of the first solenoid (4900A), and (c) a third manifold port (808, 800C) in fluid communication with the second port (4912B) of the second solenoid (4900B). The first solenoid (4900A) is independently switchable to: (a) a first configuration in which fluid flows through the first solenoid (4900A) between the first port (4910A) and the second port (4910B) and (b) a second configuration in which fluid flows through the first solenoid (4900A) between the first port (4910A) and the third port (4910C). The second solenoid (4900B) is independently switchable between an open configuration and a closed configuration. Simultaneous selective placement of: (a) the first solenoid (4900A) in one of the first configuration or the second configuration and (b) the second solenoid (4900B) in one of the open configuration or the closed configuration selectively places the fluid flow control system in a plurality of operational states.

    • Foot support systems for articles of footwear include: (a) a foot support bladder (200); (b) a fluid container (400); (c) a fluid supply (e.g., via pump(s) 600H, 600F, the external environment (150), a compressor, etc.); (d) a valve housing (902); and (e) a valve stem (910) movably (e.g., rotatably) mounted in the valve housing (902). The valve stem (910) includes a first end (910A), a second end (910B), and a perimeter wall (910W) extending between the first end (910 A) and the second end (910B). The first end (910A), the second end (910B), and the perimeter wall (910W) define an internal chamber (9101) of the valve stem (910), and the perimeter wall (910W) of the valve stem (910) includes a plurality of through holes (91 OH) extending from the internal chamber (9101) to an exterior surface of the perimeter wall (910W). A fluid inlet port (8001, 902A) places the fluid supply in fluid communication with the internal chamber (9101). The foot support system further includes a manifold (800) having: (a) a first manifold port (800B, 804) in fluid communication with the external environment (150) and opening into a first fluid flow path (806) extending through the manifold (800), (b) a second manifold port (800C, 808) in fluid communication with the foot support bladder (200) and opening into a second fluid flow path (810) extending through the manifold (800), and (c) a third manifold port (800D, 814) in fluid communication with the fluid container (400) and opening into a third fluid flow path (812) extending through the manifold (800). Movement of the valve stem (910) to a plurality of positions selectively places the foot support system in a plurality of operational states by placing one or more of the plurality of through holes (91 OH) of the valve stem (910) in fluid communication with the first fluid flow path (806), the second fluid flow path (810), and/or the third fluid flow path (812).
