摘要： A method of disposing of a sealed container and its contents comprising contacting the container with a disposal liquid at a temperature and for a time sufficient to lessen the structural integrity of the container, and to cause the container to release the contents. Also provided are a degradable suction container comprising a polymer that softens sufficiently when immersed in a liquid below 100 DEG C to lessen the structural integrity of the container, and to cause the container to release its contents, and a degradable suction container comprised of a material that dissolves or disperses in a disposal liquid sufficiently to cause the container to release its contents.

摘要： A pipeliner for lining at least a segment of the interior surface of a pipe and a method for the use thereof. The pipeliner includes a polyvinyl alcohol-containing felt first layer which is adapted to face the interior surface of the pipe and a second layer which is adapted to face the interior opening defined by the interior surface of the pipe. The second layer is at least substantially impermeable and flexible. The method including at least the steps of applying a resin to the first layer of the pipeliner, forming a sealed pipeliner tube having an outer surface defined by the second layer of the pipeliner, placing the pipeliner tube into the pipe, everting it such that the first layer of the pipeliner contacts the interior surface of the pipe, and curing the resin in the first layer of the pipeliner by sufficiently altering its temperature.

摘要： A method of absorbing oil or wax by contacting the oil or wax with a non-woven, woven, or knitted fabric prepared from a polyvinyl alcohol fiber. A method of recovering oil or wax contained in such a fabric using water and at a rate surprisingly faster than the rate of oil or wax recovery from cotton. A method of absorbing oil or wax from a mixture of oil or wax and sand by contacting the mixture with a fabric made from polyvinyl alcohol. Method of disposing of such fabrics which have been soiled or saturated with the oil or wax. The method is also applicable to other hydrocarbons such as aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon solvents.
