摘要： A system and method for a battery cell having an anode and a cathode, and a separator disposed between the anode and the cathode. A conductive layer disposed in the separator facilitates detection of dendrite growth from the anode into the separator, the detection correlative with a reduction in voltage between the anode and the conductive layer. A detection interface component coupled to the conductive layer is configured to facilitate routing of a signal from the conductive layer to a circuit external to the battery cell, the signal indicative of the detection. The battery cell may be a battery or part of a battery pack which may be utilized by an electronic device.
