摘要： A display control device (310) for outputting display data to frame buffers (39) for display includes an input for receiving portions of the display data, different portions being in raw form and in compressed form. A data controller (33) determines, for each received portion, whether it is in compressed form or raw form and controls the received portion to move along a first, bypass, path if it is determined that the received portion of display data is in raw form and to control the received portion of display data to move along a second path to a decompression engine (35) if it is determined that the received portion of display data is in compressed form. The decompression engine (33) decompresses the particular portion of compressed display data and forwards a corresponding portion of decompressed display data along a third path, the portions of data from the first and third paths then being output to the frame buffers (39).

According to the provided method, an emulating device is connected to the cellular telecommunication network, thus creating a signalling link between the emulating device and the cellular telecommunication network. With the emulating device, functionalities of elements of the cellular telecommunication network are emulated and data traffic is created to an air interface of the cellular telecommunication network. The effects of created data traffic on the cellular telecommunication network are then measured and the cellular telecommunication network is adjusted on the basis of the measurements.

A method of operating the display system comprises the steps of installing an additional graphics driver, intercepting communications between the OS module and the IHV graphics driver at the additional graphics driver, identifying a request from the OS module to the IHV graphics driver for a shared primary allocation for a display source, replacing the identified request with a plurality of requests for a shared primary allocation for each display source supported by the graphics processing unit, receiving a plurality of responses from the IHV graphics driver to the plurality of requests, and providing a reply to the OS module derived from the received responses.
